    How We Can Help

Band: With years of experience as a band director, adjudicator, and fine arts director, I've helped students and programs excel—whether it’s in preparing for major performances or navigating the behind-the-scenes complexities of events. Groups for whom I have consulted range from Broken Arrow (OK), Coppell (TX), Lafayette (LA), to Phantom Regiment, and The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps, with a love for helping achieve significant growth with developing programs.

I offer a student-centered approach that focuses on both the individual and collective goals of your ensemble. Drawing from my executive experience helping organize fall and spring events nationwide, I provide strategic tools and personalized guidance to help your program reach its full potential. From fundamental skills to performance execution, I’m here to help you identify goals, create a path forward, and achieve success on stage, on the field, and beyond.

District Fine Arts: We help districts and programs improve through proven systems and collaborative approaches. Our focus is on vertical alignment, enhancing program structures from the ground up, and implementing innovative initiatives that elevate the role of music and fine arts within the educational landscape. Rather than conducting audits that place blame, we listen, build consensus, and provide practical strategies to strengthen your program’s impact.

By aligning best practices with district goals, we demonstrate how robust music and fine arts programs offer increased bang for your educational buck, optimizing both student outcomes and budget efficiency. Whether you're an individual teacher/director or an administrator, we work alongside you to ensure your program secures a more prominent voice at the administrative table.

    Marching Band

We offer a range of clinic and consultation services designed to support your program at any stage. Whether it's a one-day session, a multi-day workshop, or ongoing support throughout the season, we provide tailored guidance to foster student achievement. Our approach integrates performance with thoughtful design, helping students excel while creating cohesive, effective strategies for success. Additionally, we offer virtual visits between in-person sessions to ensure continued progress and adapt to your program’s evolving needs. Together, we’ll promote growth, alignment, and a higher standard of excellence

    Recording Feedback

One of the strengths of using educational recordings is the opportunity they provide for real-time feedback. With the ability to pause, explain, and point out specific moments, we create a deeper learning experience for students. This method not only allows for immediate adjustments but also encourages reflection, reinforcing key concepts and helping students internalize their growth. It's a powerful tool for developing both technical skills and performance awareness in a way that supports long-term improvement.

Help Build Your School Within a School

From recruitment in the elementary grades to graduation in grade 12, your program functions as a 'school within a school,' offering a consistent, supportive environment that guides students throughout their academic journey. Your program transcends individual campuses, uniting a dedicated group of adult stakeholders—directors and mentors—who are committed to developing not just musical or artistic talent but also workforce readiness and strong citizenship characteristics. As the largest student organization at the school, your program provides students with invaluable opportunities for growth, leadership, and community involvement.

We can help you develop this vertical concept, ensuring alignment across all grade levels. Additionally, we work with you to tell the program's story to your administration and key decision-makers, helping them understand its integral role in building master schedules, team teaching schedules, and more. Our goal is to secure the support and recognition your program deserves, strengthening its presence and importance within the school's educational framework.

    Enrollment Enhancement

As a Fine Arts Director in both Irving and Arlington, TX—two high-poverty, mid-urban districts—I’ve successfully led initiatives that resulted in substantial increases in student participation. At L.D. Bell High School, we increased student involvement from 190 to 300 members. In Arlington, we increased participation in performing arts by 22%, and in Irving, all fine arts by 40%. These results demonstrate the effectiveness of student-centered strategies and structural improvements in environments where resources can be limited. I am prepared to discuss the unique needs of your school and community and work with you to design a longitudinal plan that strengthens your programs through sustainable, student-centered enhancements.

    Innovative Programming

From instrument repair classes and internships to Fine Arts/Dual Language Academies, Fine Arts Honors Credit, and Dual Credit opportunities, I will work with you to create innovative pathways for students. Whether you’re dreaming of a Fine Arts Center or seeking ways to strengthen program offerings and solve challenges, we can collaborate to turn those ideas into actionable plans. Together, we’ll discuss your district’s unique needs and design strategies that enhance the fine arts experience for both students and the wider community—ensuring that the program not only thrives but expands its impact.

    Data Packaging

Numbers don’t just talk—they often swear. Let’s focus on your goals and analyze what your numbers are saying about them. We’ll work together to present data in a way that makes the outcome self-fulfilling. While it's true that almost everyone appreciates music and fine arts in theory, the real challenge lies in how to justify the costs, especially when the overall bottom line needs right sizing. We can help you build an undeniable case for why fine arts are among the highest-yield investments in K-12 education, demonstrating their impact in ways that speak directly to your district's financial and educational priorities.
